/testfor command problems
I've seen peeps use the /testfor command to activate redstone. However I need to try this so I can activate redstone. The question is, how?

Uh, how do I use this for a score of 200 on scoreboard?

Just make the command /testfor @a[score_*objectiveName*_min=200]. The actual mechanism will look the same, just change the command. Also, next time please make a new thread, rather than bumping an old one from almost 6 months ago.

that's for a score of 200 +
if you want to use a score of exactly 200 you want to use:
/testfor @a[score_*objectiveName*_min=200,score_*objectiveName*=200]
min and max is 200 so the only option is 200

you need to give it a ticking redstone signal the nest way to do this is with a clock
it desnt matter what you use it for it still needs the ticking redstone signal

Yes, the output stays at 1 because you didn't run your command when you were out of range.
That's why you've to use a clock, so every 4 ticks (for example) the command block will test if you're in a range of 6.
If you prefer to use a button, there is another way ; place a redstone torch on the side of your command block and a redstone dust to link the torch to the secondary input of your comparator.

Its not working for me. I put in /testfor @a[r=6] and the comparator just stayed on even when I was out of range. Any ideas?

you can also use this to detect lots of other things, like what level a player is, for ex.

/testfor @a[r=5] will test for players in a 5 block range of the command block that is being activated. If it succeeds to find a player in the range, it transmits a redstone signal to a comparator placed next to the command block. /testfor @a[coordinates] tests for players at a specific coordinate. If it succeeds it also transmits a redstone signal. Hope this helped.
