Converting to 1.9?

Anyone know how to make a 1.9 resource pack? I changed the resource packs version number to 2, but the textures aren't loading. Can anyone help?

Since it was version 1 before, mc has disabled the resource pack. Go back to the resource pack menu and re-enable it. Most 1.8 resource packs should work on 1.9, only block modeling code has changed.

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean. Could you explain it for me?

They most likely mean that when you switch over from 1.8-->1.9, anything in your resource pack stack will deselected if it was marked as the 1.8 format.
In other words, if you change the mcmeta file and you start the game up again, that won't make it immediately work, you'll actually have to act like you just downloaded the pack and enable it.
