[TUTORIAL] New Texture Pack Layout - How to Update Yours

In this video, I'll show you, as a texture pack creator, how to update your old pack for the new 1.5 update, which changes quite a few things; namely, the terrain.png file is removed, and all textures have their own individual files. Old packs without this change are incompatible after the update, so you want to convert your pack as soon as possible.

Hmm... I wasn't aware of that, although for people following my tutorials, who have only made one block, it was an easy thing to do. I better make an annotation and tell the others.

Taterman is right - it is much easier using Dinnerbone's unstitcher tool.
