Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to some how add on a sort of chest peice with the elytra equiped? I was planning on texturing the elytra to a sort of jet pack suit of which you would have the glider wings and a chestpeice.
I'm very new to texturing.

Depending on how the model of elytra works itself, probably not...but I would try to change the model with optifine, here's documentation for this:
