Best way to start a server?

So Ive always dreamed off owning my very own server, but I cant seem to find a very good legitimate way of getting it up. Please help! Also if you know of any hosts that have free trials it'd be a good way to earn donators.

Thats pretty much the problem though, My wifi is too slow to host a server on because it has to power 2 laptops and 3 phones

I suggest you first host if you have a fast enough speed for at least 10 players and then slowly upgrade I'd probably post a blog post some day when I'm not to lazy enough about how to set up a server and have it run smoothly

can you portforward or no? if you can you should try mcserversoft
