Hey this is vipersick1000 and I, bieng a server owner myself noticed how hard it is to get players to join your server at first. Due to this I have made a list of things to do and things not to do, and things that can go bolth ways.

You could advertise and some people might join but then your servers reputation will go down.

Be friendly and make new players feel welcome on your server. - a good way to do this is to give them stuff to start with
Help out with questions.
Always give equal punishments to rulebreakers
Give rewards to people who get friends of theirs to join the server.
Make sure to add your server to the servers section of PMC
Finally add your server to the list below so people know about it.
Heres and example, this is my server.
Example: Server Name: Plot'nBuild
Server I.P: 108.38.1.183
You should join (servername:Plot'nbuild) because (reason) it is an awesome server, you should check it out.
