Gameplay
However, when you kill another player you'll gain a ❤️ , thus also increasing your max health. The current maximum amount of hearts you can have is 20. This can and will change via server updates.
Now, combine that entire gameplay loop with the chaos of a classic minecraft prison server... yeah, that's our exciting new concept. This will become our flagship server and the main reason new players will flock to FNG Nation in the near future.
When We Say 'Classic Prison'... We Mean It!
There is no crazy pickaxe enchantments, no OP mining or weapons. No crazy modifiers. Heck, you won't even find some fancy GUI Shop Menu anywhere. You'll have to physically go to the prison shop and use the pre-built sell signs to sell the items you've mined. Which makes your trip dangerous! Don't worry though we have plenty of safezones but there are many areas that are PVP enabled for all you PVP lovers out there ;) We also have a /bus command which you can use to transport around the prison's special areas!
There isn't some ungodly amount of prisoner ranks to progress through either. Just five tiers. Tier 1 - Tier 5 and once you're Tier 5 you can then earn up enough money to make parole. Once paroled you will be booted to the freeworld where you can begin playing as a normal Lifesteal SMP server. However... you can prestige! Doing so will put you right back into the prison and lock you down there to progress through the ranks once again. This will add to your prestige level and will eventually unlock bonus features in future updates! You'll also be rewarded each time you prestige like given crate keys etc.
Prison Bus (Use /bus command)
Players will not be separated at all regardless of their prison tier/rank. Everyone is all in the same common areas as everyone else. This becomes more exciting and stressful at the same time. It will encourage noobs to ban together and defend themselves from veteran prisoners and so on.
Beginner & PVP Mines
We only have two mines within the prison: Beginner and PvP Mine. The beginner mine is the perfect spot for brand new inmates as pvp is disabled. With that comes the realization that the beginner mine has lower tier blocks within it. Occasionally better blocks can be placed within it but it's not very often.
The PVP Mine however has higher tier blocks within it but comes with the added risk that PVP can and will happen at anytime. There's public furnaces here for the brave or when other inmates are not around but we do have some special areas in the prison....
Prisoner Restrictions & Features
We created our own custom plugin, just for this server! However we did open source it and shared it with the world ;)
Auto Switch
Have your prisoner tools in your quickbar when mining, if you do you will autoswitch to the correct tool needed for the block you're hitting. This helps simplify the mining process for our prisoners! ie if you're mining stone but then hit a clay block you'll automatically switch to the shovel! As long as it's in your quickbar.
Prisoner Armor
Prisoners spawn with a prison jumpsuit (orange leather armor) and cannot remove or change it.
Contraband Items
Certain contraband items like Diamond/Netherite Swords are restricted from being used, crafted or even transferred to storage. For now. Eventually we will implement a contraband system which will allow a nice black market of sorts and the risk/reward of being caught with contraband and being sent to solitary confinement, slapped with financial penalties etc.
The Boiler Room
This area features private furnace/blast furnace rooms to meet the needs of our prisoners smelting (& cooking) needs.
The Fishing Area
A peaceful (looking) area where players can go to fish. They can then cook and sell these fish for some money BUT... there are a small chances to pull up more than just fish. You can find special items and rewards too!
Automated Guards Are Coming
Soon these NPC's will be able to automate guard duties such as breaking up PVP and more. For now, they just patrol the areas they're in and they just add to the immersion of life inside a Minecraft prison.
Staff Can Play Along Too!
Gone are the days where staff only serve on purpose: moderate the server. They can play along too! Without worry that they're abusing their powers. Staff have separated inventories and commands for when they're playing the server and when they're on-duty as a staff member.
* Certain staff commands we allow during normal gameplay just to mitigate things happening quickly such as muting, freezing players, kicking, banning etc.

The server is in a very early state. This is only the beginning and a very early preview of the server. Weekly updates will continue to bring more-and-more elements and gameplay features to the server!

- Random Events (Like a prisoner riot where prisoners are 2x more powerful etc)
- Contraband System (Allows buying/selling contraband, roleplay punishment system etc)
