My name is Alexi and I am planning to start a new server, not sure yet though. This is why you guys are here.
You could help me on which genre i would be going with. Also would help if you could help me with hosting
the server. As of now i have not bought a server yet.

Hi i was part if your old SMP server (the one that fell apart) and i love a good sky block server if possible later you could make it a Towny/Skyblock server

First I think you should ask yourself why you want to run a server.

If you can come up with an answer, that might help you find what you're looking for with this server. I've started a few servers before and that was because I wanted a server that could offer certain things that I wanted when I couldn't find it elsewhere, for example.

You need to add modded, everything else sucks

What's the difference between Survival & SMP? SMP stands for Survival Multiplayer, and a Survival server would be.. Survival mode that happens to be Multiplayer.
I voted Skyblock because I don't see those too often, but I recommend doing SkyGrid instead, it's where the terrain is a grid format, and blocks are still the same amount of rare it should be.

I believe an SMP doesn’t use a crap load of plugins and a survival server can use those more.
