What is Runic Odyssey?
Runic Odyssey is based around the Survival-PvP gamemode and aims to welcome players worldwide to join us in our brand new adventure. With months of planning and piecing things together one by one, we are happy to announce that we are open for BETA!
Here at Runic Odyssey, we want to make sure each and every player is treated fairly, and are well respected no matter the rank they hold or achieve. In addition to this, one of the goals we have is to make sure our server has the safest environment for people of all ages to play on; meaning although we plan to be a server for older people, we have certain rules in place to ensure that the younger players feel comfortable and part of our community.
With our server still being in BETA mode, please be aware that there may still be bugs or faults popping up now and again, and alerting our friendly staff members about them would be extremely helpful as we'd try and solve the situation ASAP. You can do this either by telling them on the server directly, or by using our Forums
Want to apply for staff?
As Runic Odyssey has only just opened for BETA, we do have quite a few staff positions open for people to try for. But please be warned that even though you may get accepted for a position, you won't get your desired rank straight off of the bat. This is because of the ranking system that we have.
Let me explain:
On the server, we have a ladder that you must work up towards. Meaning anyone who is accepted as a staff member will start off in our ''trial'' ranks.
When you're put into your trial rank, you will be assessed over a couple of days or weeks by our current staff, to ensure that you maintain your duties around the server and aren't slacking off or breaking any of the rules.
If we feel as if one of our staff members are slacking away from their jobs or are breaking the rules put into place, we have no problem with dismissing them.
Dismissed staff members may apply again 2 months after their dismissal, but being accepted back onto our team would be a much difficult process. Making the person a lucky duck/duckling if they were to make it back to us.
Going back to the trial rankings- after their trial period is over. The current staff will hold a meeting to discuss who we keep and who we say goodbye to.
If we decide that it is not your time to join us, you may apply again a couple of weeks after your application. There is no shame in perseverance- infact we look at perseverance as great trait to have.
