i'm trying to download 1.8 skins but when i try downloading them, it turns out as a 1.7 skin and it has black lines. is there any way to fix this?

Are you using the correct body size?
Steve is 4 pixels wide and Alex is 3.
If you use the incorrect body type, black lines will appear on the arms.

If you haven't tried already, look up 1.8 skins on the Internet. I'm mostly a PE player, but this method worked for my friend. If that doesn't work, then idk.
