Darnet, I used nova skins (I didn't steal {Like the 1,000,000 other skins.}!). But here is, from now on, what I will be doing:

Although I like to use Nova Skins for wallpapers.

I think it's just not liked because you can take parts of the skins. I find MCSkin3D a lot better than NovaSkin anyway, and it's the only program I know of with the 1.7+ template. But I think you can use it as long as the creation is entirely yours and you don't upload it to any other site? I'm not too sure on that one.[/quote]

I mostly just use it because it's easy to navigate, simple, and straightforward- not too many tools so you open up whatdoido.png

well, i will admit that i used SkinCraft on my old skins but I deleted all of them that were made from there.

I used to use SkinCraft because I didnt know about the other skin programs that time and I was a beginner anyway...

but now i use MCSkin3D because it's much better because there's lots of tools and I can now shade.

I dont really like SkinCraft anymore because it's really hard to shade there and plus, it has parts.

heres the submission guidelines for skinning programs.......

7.6.3 Banned Skinning Programs
There are a number of tools used to create Minecraft skins that are not allowed to be used to create skins submitted to Planet Minecraft because they violate the rules on part picking and provide libraries of parts to use, many taken from popular skins without the original creator's consent. The Global Ban list for skinning tools is given below, though the list does not show all tools that are not allowed.

Yes, I know, it has a bad reputation here, but I simply use the editor, make my skins, post it on PMC and that's that.

I find the Skindex editor easy and simple to use, so yeah. xD

So far another skin-making place that uses 1.8 templates is Miners Need Cool Shoes...with their complicated skin-maker now. I only use Miners when I want to update my skin to 1.8 without cutting any parts off

Skincraft, it's easy to use and not to many tools, i make all my skins there (its a wesbite, and you can download it as a program)

If you like detailed skins, I would recommend McSkin3d. It has it's own shading system for you to use and gives you great skins in general.
