Hello PMCrafters! I'm haha429! I NEED someone to tell me how to start a skin contest, invite judges, and those sort of things.
I also have a poll for which kind of contest themes I'm thinking of so cast your vote quick!!
First -third place gets good exposure on PMC and will have their skins featured on a thread I post. Also for first place, I will post the skin on a bunch of different skin websites with a link to their PMC page.
Once the poll is closed, I'm going to start a new thread with the theme of the contest and who to message the skins to for judging. Then after judging, I will post another thread on who won.
Now the fun part! The first 3 people who give me good info on how to start/run a contest can be the judges!!!!! And if you need a judge for your own contest, you know where to find me!

Judges can enter skins into the contest, but if you see a better skin, you have to vote for it.

Also, you might want to make a skin advertising the same contest so more people know about it. Perhaps titling it something like "Skin Contest Now Open!", idk.
I myself rarely go onto forums but check the "Skins" section much more. (Pretty obvious reason for that. xD)
Just saying that if you want to get more participants, you might want to do that, as the majority of skinners on PMC keep to that section.

You need to make sure you offer a prize in my opinion, whether it's virtual art to show off, money, exposure on a site (like PMC <3) These will help you to gather contestants who are guaranteed to commit, attempt to be original, and stay focused. It's also a good idea to make sure you keep everyone interested and participating up to date on things or entries. PMC system is the best in my opinion and you should look at the current skin contest for more ideas on running one. They do a wonderful job. Good luck to you
