How do I put a minecraft map online ?
1
Right click the world folder, and go to send to and turn it into a zipped folder. Go to media fire: http:/MediaFire.com and get a free account. Go to upload and put in the zipped folder and when its uploaded, copy to clickboard and then put that link as the world save link.
This is way easier and doesn't require and downloading.

If you are on PMC, just make a Project in the world and download the map. Duh.

1. Go into clanforge and backup your world so you have the newest version of it
This can be done by going to Server > Live Control > World Options > Backup World
2. Once it is done with the backup, go to the Files section on clanforge.
3. Find the newest backup (It's usually the one on top, otherwise look for the newest date/timestamp) and download it
4. Once downloaded, extract it anywhere (I used winrar, and on mac i just use the archiving utility) it should give you another file to extract, do that as well (used same programs/apps as before)
5. This will give you a folder called "world" remember this and it's location

Compress the world save into a .zip folder. To do this on windows, you need to install winrar, then right click the file, then click 'add to archive'. Then you type in what you want its name to be and select it to be a zip folder. Then you can go to the internet, and select the world save to upload.

You don't need to install anything. Windows comes with a .zip compressor and extractor. Also, you need to select everything inside the file, then on the right-click menu, click Send to>Compressed (zipped) folder.

You dont need winrar, just right click the folder and go to Send to and click compressed zipper folder.

Actually... Click compress folder, then put it on media fire, or Dropbox.

If you're on Windows 7, you don't even need Winrar. Just go to your Windows search bar, type in "%appdata%", click on Roaming, go into .minecraft, open up saves, copy the selected world onto your desktop, right click it, select "Move to...", select "Compressed (Zipped) Folder", and voila!

Why do people always say "You need WinRAR to compress it to a .zip format!"?! Windows can do all of that jazz natively.

actually you do not need winrar you can just put the world save in a zip folder
