daegonpvpYou DONT have to use Daddycheese, they're just one option for Minecraft server hosting.
I have been with Daddycheese for a long time - and I have to tell you, they are horrible, just horrible.
Now I am with Limestone Networks, and they really are doing a great job keeping me as a satisfied customer. Anyways, back to your question - you should go to http://canihostaminecraftserver.com and check there, also for your upload and download speed - use http://speedtest.net I believe the link is.
I have also read some articles about turning your everyday computer (or any computer) into a dedicated server that runs 24/7 depending on how its set.
I don't find anything wrong with them. I used them for 4 or so months for my old server and had zero issues that weren't made by user errors.

Your internet sucks guys.
I got like 43.92 Download and apparently just 9.32 Upload. But that's like a lot more than yours. XD

Highly unnecessary. Though my uni has upload speeds of up to 20 Mbps.

There wouldn't be that much of a difference. Your lies are shitty.

He could be using Verizon FiOS internet... Download speeds of up to 50 mb/s...

Not really, I've used 2 computers for hosting they still run really strong.
1
Yes you can. As long as your computer never shuts down and can handle it.

If you want a cheap Minecraft host then you can try http://pytohost.com
They charge $3 for 6 players I believe.

They're just being honest. ^^

The only way to host your server 24/7 would be leaving your computer running the server all day and all night. But this method it's not really good for like 10+ servers. If you just want to play with some of your friends and thing like that then it's fine. But if you are planning to get bigger then this would probably not be a good idea. And yeah the RAM is not the only thing that is important not even if you have tons of RAM the download/upload speed is really important too.

You could have the best computer in the world and have bad Internet like you and everyone will lagg like hell, I know many servers that had good computers but bad Internet and it lagged without many people.
1
SinizterDzineYeafHaha, your download and upload speeds are not really suitable for a server. It would lag like hell when you get about 5 people.
Tisk tisk tisk,
Yeaf. Like you told me, it doesn't depend on one thing.
He could have terrible upload/download, and amazing RAM which would balance it out.
I have 16gb of RAM and only 1.38 Upload and Download 8.61
I'm sorry to say that your upload and download speeds are more important.

The Way I Could Keep My Server 24/7 For Free Is Use My Old Laptop And Keep It Open Forever Until I Don't Want The Server Anymore.

Download 6.02 upload 0.67

Its about your download and upload speed. RAM isn't everything. When someone brakes a block it needs to update that on the server. Whats your download and upload speeds?
