You are ignorant of how Herobrine started. It started as a HOAX. The first "sighting" was a creepy pasta. Then there was a faked live stream where they saw Herobrine. Then attention seekers started making up stories of him existing. Y U NO LISTEN?

Not sure if trolling... or I have to explain.

When you use a mod/plugin to spawn herobrine it adds the skin file to the server/minecraft.jar.

Even if you get a downvote without criticism you still know someone didn't like it. That's enough for you to say "Ok, I should try something different" Or just say fuck it, who cares if I'm known? You should make skins because you like to. I'm sure most of the popular skinners don't give a damn about their level because overall, it's meaningless. Halucid said that when he first posted skins he got tons of downvotes and trolls. You know what he did? He dealt with it and kept posting because he loved doing it. Now look and what happened to him. He's level 62 (I think?) and a mod.

Why not add a way to check someones recent activity? It would be public so everybody can see it. It would tell you what they downvoted/upvoted/commented on and a reason why they downvoted. Of course, you would be forced to give a reason if you downvoted or even upvoted. There would also be a "Report Abuse" button and the person reported would lose their ability to downvote or just be banned.

In my opinion this would somewhat stop people who make accounts and downvote troll and people who make accounts to upvote their own work.

Soul, I think most of the people who want it back were the people who didn't bother with the many thread asking for it removed because no one really thought it would be taken away.

One question: What about servers? I mean people could easily any negative comments on their server page and it would look like the server is amazing. Then you go on the server and get spawn killed for half an hour. Or you get instantly banned. Or admins grief the server. I have come to live with the diamonds system (still hate the name) but I think there should be some sort of downvote system for servers.

I agree, it has always been meaningless but there was still a sense of achievement when you gained a level. Now there will be And everything I've uploaded is pure crap? Yup, seems about right.

Fuck that. Someone says they don't like my clothes I say "Kthxbai" and walk away. But even with the diamond system (I hate that name SO much) people can easily look at your skin say "Nope" and go find something else. Only difference now is that people will get more XP and levels will become meaningless.

That's not the main reason people are upset about this though. People say "Lulul don't look at it then hurrdurr" but that really makes no difference. Things will be getting popular when they shouldn't be. And things that should be downvoted to the ground because they are absolutely horrendous won't get downvoted at all and the maker will end up getting 5 likes. Eventually, levels will mean nothing to this site anymore and people will all be 40+

I say bring it back. If you care so much about the xp you get, don't piss people off. Simple as that. Sion, if you care so much about not getting downvoted, you shouldn't have said someone had a shitty skin. You shouldn't even comment on the skin if you don't like it unless it's constructive.

Why have an upvote system if there is no way to downvote it? I have no idea how the popular reel will work now, but it seems anything with a lot of "diamonds" (Having that name makes the situation even worse) gets put on the popular reel. That makes sense, right? Before, if something had a lot of downvotes it wouldn't get put on the popular reel, now, overall bad skin/texture packs will take the spot of something that's amazing.

People with no coding experience at all shouldn't respond to this. I've never seen or even heard of people talking about seeing animals with no pupils. The game has been out for quite a long time now, someone would have found the code, considering Notch isn't the best at coding. And yeah bro, I will go ask the other seven thousand people who claim they see herobrine and have no proof and were "too scared" to take a screenshot.
