    Naturally Generating Custom Blocks (Item Displays) in a World--Is This Possible??

    (reposting here instead of the forum thread)

    This is a question for anyone who's messed with worldgen datapacks. I've looked at the JSON files within the configured_feature folder, processor_list folder, biome folder...

    From what I've seen there and online, naturally spawning custom entities in a world is usually achievable by selectively teleporting a number of mobs to the void and /summon-ing the custom ones in their place. But how would one spawn a display entity that's made to be a custom block, and spawn it in a certain configuration much like the natural features of the world (i.e. fallen logs, grass patches, underwater clay discs, etc?)

    For the sake of obtainability, I could have these "blocks" obtainable through crafting, but some of them are meant to generate naturally and add to the environment. Could really use some support on this one.

    Is HermitCraft Really that Great?

    Spoilers, I don know that mucc about HermitCraft. Ive watched a coupl vids, from YouTubers I'd normaly follow. But thats wat I'm getting at. I miss th days when guys lik Grian, Xisuma, an MumboJumbo would make original contn with their polished commentery to listen to. They still make vids on other stuf sometimes, but the bulk of there content is always frikin HermitCraft now. They seem like the sam peopl, but I could never get into survival/plot-driven survival playthrus. Its like they're just showin off their latest megabulds and farms like a trophy collection.

    I'm curious if any one els feels the same about HermitCraft, or if they have a fav YouTuber thats don somethings they didn't like.

    It's not really plot driven btw

    And it's also a lot more than just showing off megabuilds. They make it fun and exciting as they do different things and playing together. I'd suggest you watch GoodTimesWithScar's, Grian's, and Mumbo's videos if you want the least showie-offie vibe you're getting. Zedaph also is fun to watch because he does all this weird stuff that really doesn't make sense.
