  1.14.2 released, and yet, my server still refuses to stop lagging.
  
  Time to use this as an excuse to start a modded server to hold the playerbase over.

  I'm actually using a branch of spigot called Paper, which is even more efficient, but thank you for the suggestion!

  Nearlynon. I ran into similar issues with 1.14.1, 1.14 in general is a large version to run, so without plenty of RAM, you will lag. BUT, I did figure out that running your 1.14.2 server on spigot instead of vanilla, will help reduce lag substantially.

  Man, it's been a long time since I've been in a minecraft community. The last big buzz I remember happening was the Tree Spirit challenge. I miss challenges like those. I don't know if any others exist besides Cubeaism and the City / Castle building challenges. Was Refugee to Regent's remake ever finished? Are there any others? I'll have to take a look at some point.
