Would love to see food that is affected by the climate of where you are would be pretty cool.
I'll use the Americas as an example. In the hotter south, Rice, Tomatoes, Peas, and Turnips, all of those were in a warmer climate while in the north Corn, Squash, and red potatoes. All of those were grown in much firmer colder climates.
Having a similar concept put into Minecraft could easily make farming a little bit more challenging but still, give more options for food in the game.
