updated one (1) pack because i only have motivation to do so when someone comes into my house and tells me "hey oak your pack is broken oak can you fix your pack please"

apparently the description in the pack.mcmeta in armor gems has been misspelled for literally the entire time the pack has existed

just gonna go ahead and say armor gems is dead. the smp that i created it for has ended, as has any remaining motivation to update it. also with armor trims being in the vanilla game now, it's just not really worth it. i might repurpose the elytra textures for something eventually, since i do still really like those.

however, i have finally at long last gotten around to updating some stuff! stonier stone has been tweaked slightly because some of those ore textures did Not look good and also they were from 21w08a and i just never touched them again. additionally, more fox textures has been updated, i tweaked some of the fox tails because somehow i misaligned them two and a half years ago and just never noticed, and i confirmed that it does work with the entity model features and entity texture features mods.

do not mistake this for an increase in activity, by the way. that's not how i roll. only reason ive been able to get all this done is because im waiting for someone to take their clothes out of the hall washing machines so i can wash my clothes. gonna go disappear for another six months or so byeeeeeee

ok so the college excuse probably isn't gonna work now that the school year is done. this time the excuse is that i recently set up a new computer and i cannot figure out where i put armor gems version whatever the new version is. there are no fewer than eight folders it could be in and they all have subfolders and honestly i do not have the time

- figure out why Armor Gems doesn't work with CIT Resewn. fix it. profit

update: got it working! will upload it once i clean it up a bit

- make a better cover image for More Foxes
- tweak Oak's GUI Overhaul
- update Armor Gems to support CIT Resewn format
- update Soulfire Mobs to support CEM/VMT format
- update Red's Sword to support Chime CIT Resewn format
- figure out where I left the Stonier Stone files
- lament the lack of emissive textures in Fabric (repeat as necessary)

today i published the pack ive been working on for a few weeks, learned a new mod format (reselect) for the fox pack, and updated all my mods to 1.18. time to disappear for another six months goodbyeeeee

the cycle of making resource packs is really just spend hours on something -> post it -> refresh page constantly for two hours isn't it?

(also, unrelated, but all my old packs have been updated to 1.18)

the marching band season has ended, college applications are in, and i suddenly have a lot of free time on my hands. therefore: i am going to make an updated to-do list.

TODO:
- biome-specific materials pack. example: changing stone bricks in deserts to be a sandier color, and making wood types consistent within a biome
- double slabs to bricks (and double brick slabs to non-bricks)
- nicer-looking tools. unclear how i am supposed to accomplish this
- pride parrots
- update pack.mcmeta in all of my older packs
- overhaul latin to SGA pack because some of the characters are cut off in weird ways

PSA: all my resource packs should still work with 1.17, but they'll show warnings until I get around to updating the version number. This is purely me being lazy and not wanting to go through and update all of the pack.mcmeta bits.

current to-do list, for my own reference and so the internet can bully me for not getting anything done:
- armor gems v1.3
- formal skins for quintet
- formal skin for smokey
- pride axolotls for reddit dude #2
- skin for reddit dude #3
- possible skin for the steve that now plays on the server
- origins character skins for quintet??? are we doing that???
- grimstone ores
- soulfire blaze because i feel like it
- more pride-themed packs because they're cool idc
