Did you know that Minecraft was originally called "Cave Game" when it was first created by Markus Persson in 2009? The game was initially inspired by other sandbox-style games like Dwarf Fortress and Infiniminer. Over time, Persson and his team continued to add new features and gameplay elements, and the game eventually evolved into the hugely popular Minecraft that we know today.
