IBloodstormIZelrathKids shouldn't even be in Vegas in the first place... I didn't even think kids would've gone. I thought it would just be full of teens and adults. Notch is just taking this to seriously. It's not like kids never hear swearing. I'm sure not all of them are innocent. If the parents are doing something about it, they are just weird for being upset at an F-bomb, but not upset by allowing a child to Vegas
There are people who actually live in Vegas, with kids and all, you do realize that. The Strip is one thing, but Vegas is a big place. The fact of the matter is, most of them probably got in a cab at the airport, went directly to the hotel they were staying in ( and where the convention was held) and didn't leave until the convention was over. So the "they shouldn't have even had their kids in Vegas" argument is moot.
I think Notch put a lot of trust in these different figures heads in the Minecraft community to help and guide the con. With the trust I'm sure he figured they would make sure to do their best to remain appropriate for all those present. I'm sure the Yogscast guys had already seen that there was a good amount of children there, and there was no reason why they couldn't have thrown in some censoring. It isn't that hard to do with a laptop and a little time.
Sure, notch should have had people to check this stuff over, and should have made it clear that the main event needed to stay pg. In that case, it is on Notch and Mojang's heads. But you can't deny that the Yogscast guys should have used their better judgement and common sense and censored their video. It just plain stupid to think they are blameless because no one told them they couldn't swear. Its a common, societal expectation that grown men and women are smart enough to know better without being told. I wouldn't drop f-bombs left and right at a Transformers convention, because I know their are kids around me as well.
What Notch did in a Yogscast video is different then what Yogscast did at Notch's convention. Yogscast is fine with it, Notch wasn't. You may say it is hypocritical, but Yogscast aims at a higher age group. If younger ones are watching it, its not because they are supposed to be. In an official recognition of Mojang, Notch is going to through the censors on himself and be appropriate because that's what normal, grown people do. This wasn't a fan convention run by whoever, it was Mojang's convention, and I don't blame them for apologizing and then cutting ties with Yogscast to try and save face. It is what businesses do.
People were obviously upset by what went down, upset enough that Notch felt he needed to cut ties and make an apology. I don't think he is over reacting, I think he is trying to save face with a bunch of parents who now have a bad taste for Minecraft after what transpired.xJesterJoexHow did he 'cut them loose' from minecraft? Did he delete their accounts?
It is a figure of speech meaning he won't be affiliating with them on any sort of official basis from now on.

diego224Hey guy's, so I just logged into Planet Minecraft and noticed I was level 75. This was a big suprise because not too long ago was I only level 12. Then I go to my server I posted, and some how it has 3500 (estimate) recommendations. I really don't know what to do, because this is a random situation. Could a mod or some one answer me?
