Darker clothing allows them to blend in with the sky and void, allowing them to hide if they remove their robes.

Tinted goggles custom built by the armorer would protect the cleric from making eye contact with endermen, however the cleric chooses not to use them, as they believe in gaining the trust and acceptance of the endermen, instead of hiding among them.
