Back in the day, when piglins traversed the Nether through the use of portals, one piglin found a different type of portal. On the other side was a strange barren world inhabited by black creatures. Mesmerized by this new discovery, the adventurer failed to adhere to the first rule of portal travelling: Get back in time! And just like in the green dimension, the piglin's body underwent a painful process of decay, but it was different from that of his fallen comrades. His bones turned black like the creatures he saw, and his mind stayed alive just long enough to flee the scene and return home.
The piglin tribe had never seen such a transformation. Fear spread, and the unlucky adventurer was expelled from his former family. Striving through the wastelands of the Nether, he found those who met a similar fate and began to study them. Over the years his knowledge and magic abilities grew. Now he is a dangerous adversary to anyone who opposes him, summoning the undead bodies of his former comrades to aid him in achieving his goals, and feared by the piglin tribe as leader of all zombified piglins. His once splendid golden sword, broken in countless battles, is now indistuingishable from the blackstone used for restoration, albeit still a powerful weapon.
During the years, more piglins entered the same vicious portal, but none of them came back alive. Their remains can be found roaming the Nether's giant fortresses in their final stage of decay, completely black skeletons. Visitors from the other world were less troubled adapting to the Nether, as they managed to warp the fungi forests into an unnatural blue-ish version.
