----Currently For Minecraft 1.8----
***This mod requires Risugami's Modloader***
Presenting the Camo Mobs Mob Pack. This pack just adds a few new mobs that try to blend in with the Minecraft world. That being said, they go more with the default texture pack. They also drop what they are as items when they are killed.
Presenting:
Sand Worm: This mob only appears in desert biomes and takes on the form of the only plant life that can survive there. It only moves at night to find prey to attack. Killing them breaks causes them to break up into 3 smaller pieces.
Clusters (Flowers/Mushrooms): These little mobs are passive, and move close to the ground, the are active during the day, and stop moving at night time. They come in to 3 varieties. The Flowery version can also sometimes have grass on it, and they can appear where grass is. The mushroomy version only appears below ground blending in with the stone that it walks upon. They only attack if you attack them first, though they do minimal damage at best.
Pumpking: Semi small sized mobs that during the day take the form of pumpkins. During the nightime, they turn into jack o lanterns with skinny vines/grass for appendages.
Reed Spider: This mediumish sized mob will only be found near things of water. Imitating the things they are named after, they wait till night fall before going around to find their prey.
Nether Crab: These small creatures dwell only in the Nether, and imitate the plentiful Netherrack that can be found there. They stay perfectly still and hide amongst the netherrack, and only attack when the player gets near. They explode on contact, but worry not, it does not do as much damage to the surrounding as the creeper.
Thanks To:
Juddaba for helping test the mobs, mob ideas, and also making the screenshots for this mod, as I don't do well with making good screenshots.
The creators of the modeling software Techne (ZeuX and r4wk), without which, making custom models would have been a pain to make.
Risugami, for the mod api (modloader) that allowed for a slightly easier mod creation, and also letting more mods be workable with other mods.
Planned Work:
- Making the clusters spread their flowers/grass and mushrooms
- Some more camo typed mobs.
- Adding maybe more unique abilities to camo mobs
- Tweaking any quirks with the mobs
- Workin on any bugs that seem to pop up
- making the models better
How to Install:
- (optional before installation of this mod): Install modloader first in case you have not already done so as this mod requires it.
- Once downloaded, open up the compressed folder called Camo Mobs. (silly me the zip is called camo mobs... the folder in the zip is called class files)
- Drag and Drop all of the files in it into the main minecraft.jar file (This includes a folder called MythosImages which holds the texture files for the mobs)
- Delete META-INF (Double Check a few times and make sure its gone)
- After closing minecraft.jar back up, and then running Minecraft, you should be able to see these mobs in game.
