The T-34 (1942) is a further modernization of the legendary Soviet medium tank T-34. During the next modernization it was fitted with an enlarged hexagonal turret, which was nicknamed "nut", and by the Germans - "Mickey Mouse", because of the two round hatches that resembled the ears of the character of the same name in the open position. In addition, a shield was installed on the course machine gun, handrails were made around the turret for the troops, access hatches to the MRT were renewed, running gear was improved and other design changes were made.

В ходе очередной модернизации на нём была установлена расширенная шестигранная башня, которая получила прозвище «гайка», а у немцев — «Микки Маус», из-за двух круглых люков, напоминавших в открытом положении уши одноимённого персонажа. Помимо этого, на курсовой пулемёт был установлен щиток, вокруг башни сделаны поручни для десанта, были обновлены люки доступа к МТО, улучшена ходовая часть и произведены другие изменения в конструкции.
