Description
Abbott House is a timber framed pub located at the corner of King's Row. It was once the residence of the Abbotts, a noble family that contributed themselves in building much of the older part of Heptonstall. Unfortunately, the family line died out in the 18th century and Abbott House soon become a pub where locals gathered to celebrate important occasions. Today it remained as the largest pub in Heptonstall, with the bottom two storeys belonging to the pub, and the top floor used as a tenements for the owners.
