This is for the contest. Here is the backstory:

It was a long time ago, in the wasteland of Amethyst City. The roads and houses were abandoned. This was all because of the tragic accident that happened 13 years ago: There was a town full with happy people, joyful children, and beautiful amethyst jewelry. When the miners mined, all they seemed to find was amethyst. They decided to use this common material for jewelry and decoration. But one mad scientist used it the wrong way. This scientist, doctor Syko, used the amethysts for bad things. He created nuclear weapons, bombs, guns, and things to destroy Amethyst City. One day, he went too far. He was working on one of his nuclear weapons, when he heard a beeping. The beeping was coming from his lab. It was his computer screen! The screen was red and beeping. The doctor slowly walked over to it. Then, the screen turned black. It faded, and then in neon green dripping letters, it said, "You're.... .... Next" and the city blew up into millions of pieces, leaving shards of houses and markets, torn apart on the dirt roads.

Epilouge

There were very few survivors, maybe one or two. They got help from nearby towns, unluckily, not very populated towns. They started mining, with the few pickaxes that they had left, and with the few amethysts they had left, they built Amethyst City: The Aftermath
