HOW IT WORKS

While the map is not necessarily made to be dependant on plugins, you are more than welcome to add any you see fit as you require.

You may want things like the Multiverse Bukkit plugin or the 'noitem' plugin (to stop item dropping when players die)

The #1 Recommended Bukkit Plugin is one by Sethbling - INFINITE DISPENSERS. Thank you seth for your suggestion on this one.

Ever wanted to play "King of the hill" in minecraft? Me too! This map is one giant step toward that realization and may spark a series of maps (pending the overall success this brings).

The general idea is it's the END vs the NETHER in a battle that crosses worlds and boundaries. You will fight for your team and based on the maps design there really is no limit to how many people can play at once, the more you have playing the better the experience!!

Larger teams make for a more interesting game! The time limit is customizable and the number of players determines how many spawns each team gets. Bases are claimed by pulling levers (an attempt to make the redstoning as simple as possible)

Objective points are littered all over the map and essentially are a way to add to the trickle score.

VICTORY CONDITIONS:



Total Conquest:
If the opposing team runs out of spawns first, your team automatically wins. Spawn counts, displayed as SC on the screen, are able to be disabled, but make for a more interesting game mechanic.

Time based victory
A second method of obtaining victory is to have a higher score when the timer runs out. The team with the highest score is declared winner at this point. Scores do not come into debate with the case of the other victory conditions.

Colonization!
The third and final victory condition is that one team holds all bases in the map for 1 minute. This seems difficult and may be modified. It is also possible that spawning may be disabled by the other team during this period, but this is up to debate at the moment.

Score Based Victory
This method of victory is obtained by maxing out your score and being the first to do so.

AVAILABLE CLASSES



Warrior
Possesses all the necessary equipment to take a decent hit and a diamond sword to deal good damage. Does not possess the quick destruction capabilities of the battle mage, but is useful if combined with buffs from supporting classes.

Ranger
Armed with a bow with Infinity 1 and some meager armor, the ranger is designed for distance fighting and may not be best suited for close quarter battles.

Battle Mage
Armed with an armada of potions designed to inflict damage, the battle mage is given a number of potions to deal serious damage. When all that fails, the battle mage has an Iron sword to back them up.

Healer
Armed with a number of potions used for healing (obviously) with a number of buffs to boost team mates abilities.

*Please note, the classes as specified may be modified between now and when this map is released to the public.

This concept will likely evolve into other maps in future so keep an ear out after this has been completed to see the future developments to come!

Firstly, a large thank you to The_Master_Joda for hosting it on his server during a good chunk of the creative process so that a team could be assembled to work on it. Thank you for your assistance.

Following this, I convinced the admin of my server to host the map (IP:valk.ws). Valk's server is one of the largest Australian servers and it is here that the rest of the development took place.

It has been such a long road and there have been a lot of awesome people who have helped in this process, a massive thank you to all of you!

Thanks mate! It's currently not on a server, but may soon be on one. I've also been working on a new CTF map with a pirates of the caribbean theme.

I'm planning on revamping all the redstone in accordance with the recent redstone updates, might be worth waiting.

Not sure if you would be able to fit this in at this stage. But it would be awesome if you would use the new command block to teleport players from their spawn to points which their team controls.

I plan on adding it to future versions, but at this stage all of the redstone is done and I need to troubleshoot it. I've been sick for about a week so unable to touch it, but the redstone is primarily done.
