Build your houses in modern texture packs like the ff. (with my opinion)
Pamplemousse 16x16 (looks nice, but you'll get bored with it once you don't find any shader packs)
Faithful 32x32 (If you're just gonna stick with Default, I tell you friend, THIS IS BETTER DEFAULT.)
ModernCraft 32x32 (Has the same traits like Pamplemousse, but this is a little better. :))
Soartex Fanver/Invictus 64x64 (Present one I'm using. Looks smooth and clean. Also, they have a Lite version for crap PCs, like mine.)
Flows HD 128x128 (I'd say the boss of all modern texture packs. Used by one of the best modern builders including Keralis.)
UrbanCraft 256x256 (It's still good, although I prefer Flows more than this, and do you even need 256x256?)
