A long time ago. A male fire dragon was lost at sea trying to find his next meal. A large storm had blown him off course and he was now lost in the middle of the ocean. After the third day, he came across an island with a mountain on it. The mountain was carved to look like a dragon, with water coming out of its mouth. To this day no one knows who made it. Guarding the island was a female Water Dragon. The minute they spotted each other, they began to fight. For a whole day they fought, until finally, both exhausted decided to take a nap, both on separate parts of the island. But then as night fell, a viscous storm began to brew and in no time at all it was a major hurricane. The dragons, fearing for their lives huddled together in the cold dark night. When they woke up, they found out that both of them and the island were free of injuries. They believed that it was destiny who saved them and so, decided to start a family. They have been living on the Island ever since.

35 years later, a group of fisherman discovered the island and the dragons who called it home. The fishermen believed that the island and the waters around it were sacred, so they did not touch them. This led the dragons to think of the fishermen not as a nuisance, but as something to be ignored. The fishermen always made sure to stay clear of the island and did so for 2 years.

But then, a fleet of pirate ships came and chased down the fisherman. The dragons, sensing danger for their eggs, defended against the pirates. All three ships were destroyed. The fishermen prayed to the dragons and promised to never to fish anywhere near the island again.
