Fluid is my first attempt at a true modern house. This build uses a simple exterior design which is basically a box suspended by two pillars on opposite sides. This is a very basic modern design. There is a simple, modern designed car port which has a long driveway for guests. The entrance is near a modern designed pond with easy access to the outdoor dining and living area. The interior is designed around modern lifestyles. This house is very small, yet provides areas for entertainment and personal relaxation. The upstairs level is designed for personal use. A small office joins a kitchen. The kitchen also has an exit to the outdoor dining area for entertaining. Most people tend to use different sections of the house depending on the hour. This upstairs provides a daytime area for work and outdoor enjoyment. The middle section is similar to a "drop zone.' This mixed use room has access to the basement and is still visible from above. Skylights provide natural light. A fireplace and a couch provide an area for daytime television or a place to take guests. The stairway to the basement provides the threshold into another use area. At the bottom of the stairway there are a variety of separated spaces. However, the open design allows a connected feeling. A guest bedroom provides a basic place for relatives or friends to stay the night. The entertainment room accommodates a small house with many amenities.This large room features a giant television, library, and a small wet bar area. This aspect of the house provides a different environment for a different time of the day. This is a great place to stay at night in the morning for watching television or reading. This space is once again multi-functional to allow entertaining. However this space is designed more around friends and the idea of "hanging out." Finally, the master bedroom provides a great escape and private space. A suspended bed provides a modern sleep solution. A private work space is included in the master bedroom for video games or personal projects. The bedroom is connected to a walk-in-closet and a large bathroom. A shower, double sinks, and separate toilet room are included. This bathroom connects to the main basement living space to serve guests as well. The variety of uses and multi-functional design lead to the name, Fluid. Fluids can occupy a variety of spaces and continue to hold their properties, as can the homeowners.
