This map is to accompany my latest redstone tutorial which can be viewed here. I was trying out new redstone contraptions and in this case a T Flip-Flop. By walking over the pressure plates, the pistons retract and reveal the chests but the pistons don't close until you walk over the plates again.

The redstone for this might be a bit above par for some people. The two main contraptions are Redstone Inverters and a simple T Flip-Flop.
The redstone inverters are for the pistons. The redstone torches constantly power the pistons until they are switched off by a repeater powering the block they are on.
The T Flip-Flop is essentially for turning a pulsed input (button, pressure plate) into a constant pulse. This uses a small redstone clock variation as well as a dual inward-facing piston system that alternately push blocks over redstone torches allowing for a current to pass.
The design of the actual world is fairly different to the one in the video. I used sandstone (as always) and utilised the orientation properties of sandstone stairs to create interesting lighting as well as a neat clean and slick design.
