As Steve pushes himself upright he feels this prickly grass and earth leave his palms as he uprights himself to his new surroundings.  He breathes in as his eye slowly adjust to the vibrant environment around him.  As the last of the colors flood in, he feels his senses highten as the lucious sent of forest and vanilla enter his brain.  Steve uprights himself to match the eyes of a giant creature staring vertically down at him.  Bumps cascade up Steve's spine as he feels both a mysterious feeling of comfort and exceptance fuel him to acknowledge the beast before him.  It was a giant winged lion, who lighlty smiled upon the new traveler that wondered into his plain.  As his eyes darted past the beast, he focused on intricate details of gigantic structures that laid before him.  Steve's mind hopped back in forth trying to understand why and where,but as he pin pointed an idea of a memory that his mother gave him as a small child.  He grasped the memory and deciphered if this tall tale could be the very same story that depicts where he is.  
The story was an old wise man's tale of a land that once was dirt from the planet Earth Steve was born on.  Steve's great ancestors, the first two to walk the Earth, once made a dire mistake betraying the trust of their creator and eating a forbidden fruit.  They were banished from the lush land and given a new home in a less bountiful place on Earth.  The creator scooped the land in his powerful hand and threw it into the sky out of anger of his betrayal and that is where it stays today in the sky.  The Creator created a giant beast that never blinked to guard the floating realm and greet passers who stumble upon this realm.  This was the place of second chances and the gate determined the fate of the ill-willed travelers.  As they walk past the lion and the gate they are greeted by a giant bridge leading to a court on a floting land where the high judge the low on crimes and misfortunes to determine their life from here on out.  From there they march up the road to the tree from which the same fruit Steve's ancestors gorged themselves on before during creation. This tree was transformed into a fortress upon which the good and bad will be sent to determine their worth.
As Steve's mother kissed young Steve's forehead goodnight he would ask, "mother, what if they passed the tests?" She would reply "well dear heaven awaits." He frowned..."and if they don't?"  She gave a small grin and slowly closed his door shut and whispered through the closing gap, "well its back to hell for them then."
Steve righted himself and gripped his fingers into his palms as he stepped past the giant beast toward Leo's towering gate.
