Arguably the best handgun ever invented, the Colt 1911 was used in Both World War 1 and World War 2, The Vietnam War, The Korean War and The Gulf War due its mechanism being the revolutionary base of all center-fire autoloading pistols. It's easily recognizable because of it's profound fame. It has been featured in many action movies ranging from James Bond to Terminator. It's straightforward and very simple. An easy gun to get the hand of and nothing too complicated. It's also very reliable. Basically the AK-47 of Pistols. It could be tossed in the mud, stomped on, smashed with a brick, dropped off The Empire-State Building and still function.
My inspiration for this small project is from seeing it in many action movies, as I said earlier. I am a big action movie fan, honestly my favorite is either Leon: The Professional or Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
This gun is probably my favorite firearm ever, other than the LeMat Grapeshot Revolver/Shotgun pistol from The American Civil War and I found it pretty easy to build. It does have many recognizable parts such as the striping on the top/back of the slide, the curve on the sides of the bottom of the barrel, etc...
I really enjoyed building this. I currently have 3 other projects going on atm that will be revealed shortly.
A hint about one of them: The Vietnam War :3
Thankyou for checking this out, it really means a lot. Comments and Feedback are very much appreciated.
I try my best to respond to every comment, which is very easy since I don't get many.
Thanks again :)
