A 1:1 scale recreation of the Merchant League Building from Baldur's Gate. It's not actually reached through the normal questline - the resolution of an earlier quest determines if the quest related to this building comes open. An early example of consequential quest resolutions.

Making Of

While putting together the Seven Suns Coster was simple, the Merchant League worried me a bit. Even way back in the day when I first played Baldur's Gate, I was weirded out by just how much larger the interior for the building was than the exterior; its size is double that of the Seven Suns and there are three floors, despite the building being almost exactly the same size as the coster on the outside. Luckily, however, the details for the interior are rather sweeping and easily downscaled, so it didn't take much time at all.

Additional Notes

For best results, load with 1.2.4/1.2.5 Minecraft. Schematic makes use of half-blocks attached to undersides.

Redistributing it as is, without credit, is a no-no, but if anyone wanting to make a Baldur's Gate themed adventure map would be interested in using it, contact me. I would gladly like to aid such a worthy cause.
