sorry for my bad english, I'm from the Netherlands.
this is my design for a door you can open with a potion.
you can build this in survival.
how to use:
throw a potion of instant damage in the hole in the wall and the door will open for a couple of seconds.
Note: I think it works in pre-1.6 version, just didn't tested it.
how does it work:
villagers are swimming in water, if they get damaged the will stop swiming for a moment,
I detect this with pressureplates, the pressureplates are going in an AND gate.
the AND gate sends a signal to the door and a dispenser to heal the villagers.

i give u a challenge to make it resource friendly, like more less potions or none at all.
I did it and changed the following things:
-less redstone
-less potion dispensers

But wouldn't the villager die after certain amounts of trial?
but you have to be careful to keep the dispensers filled.
i give u a challenge to make it resource friendly, like more less potions or none at all.
it is still a bit resource expensive , but I don't know more ways to improve it.
please tell me if you know something to improve it.
