Since breaking the glass is cheating, here's what I did; after gathering all the items in the Nether, i broke the Overworld's portal digging underneath, digging through to the outside. Is that cheating? I'm now searching for villages nearby. I realized the most stable food is apples, as there is no water to promote other plants. Nice idea with the silverfish! Merry Christmas!
