The Palace of Blood-
Lore:
An arena built in the Glorious Age of Combat by King Jerome V.
There, he would hold massive gatherings of his court to watch eight warriors battle to the death in the central gardens.
The gardens are completely enclosed, so the combatants cannot escape, and the sides are ringed with sopts for spectators. The lavish palace surrounding it is made of red bricks, marble, and glass, and the spires pierce the clouds. Truly, this was a grand symbol of the King's power.
About the Build
the entire structure is about 150 blocks long and 130 wide, the top of the tallest spire is 103 blocks above the ground.
the gardens themselves are 73 blocks long and wide, with spawnpoints marked in gold.
this build was designed to be a PVP Arena, there is a starting room under the main spire with the clock.
there is no redstone or kits, so whomever uses the map can design the game to their liking.
there is also no interior besides the spawn room, because players will not be able to access the rest of the building.
The Arena
the gardens were designed for PVP in mind. the contested point is the gazebo, as it is the only location that offers a clear view of the rest of the garden, should the players have a bow. the hedges efficiently block lines of sight, and the water provides an interesting obstacle.
My main inspiration to build this was the concept that death can be beautiful. And, i'm sure you'll agree, this is a beautiful place to die.
In my opinion, I kind of went a bit overboard with the palace, but feel free to download and use the map if you want a giant fancy arena!
