Fort Aedon was built by house Drogovid as their expansion into Myrdan. The fort has a landing place for their dragons so they could easily and quickly travel between their outposts. The landing place is now ruined because it hasn’t been used for about a 100/150 years. When the Oshuzrak decided to attack House Drogovid. Fort Aedon was one of the first locations they abandoned. And because House Drogovid was decimated by the Oshuzrak they never took the place back. Because Fort Aedon was abandoned it’s still really in good condition, compared to if it had to be taken. House Nelmond was able to easily take over. Over time villages grew outside the castle and they started to farm there. House Nelmond also started a vineyard because of the good fertile environment. House Nelmond is not a very rich house but because they’re friends with House Lockstrong they are allowed to stay in Fort Aedon. There is also a small Gnome settlement in the southern forest. So House Nelmond also supplies the king with gnomes to release and hunt. In the forest next to the castle there is also the nether portal the lockstrong brothers escaped from.
