tanks! im just getting started on it. its scaled to just scrape the build limit if used in a normal world with sea level at 62. =)

That's good thinking. It looks well proportioned as well. Your grey version looks a lot better than the black and orange original version, like yours is something that could be found in the real world. Keep it up :)

I plan to have a fully featured interior as well. my secret to doing proportions is to use a golden rectangle calculator, any time I have 1 set dimension I just figure the rest of them based off that ratio. the length of the base and the length of the roof are in that ratio for instance.

I will change the colors to reflect the original sim city version but will prolly have a second variant color that looks less like it was lifted straight out of blade runner =D

after this I want to do the other arcologies as well, but the only one im scared of is the darco tho, its all abstract and there isn't 1 line of symmetry in the thing and I have no idea how its supposed to look in 3d... yikes =x

I see... MCEdit or just using MC? That will be cool... yes it looks very blade-runner esque. In either form, actually. Here's an example of the Darco already done in MC I just found, might be of help:
https://www.planetminecraft.com/project/darco-arcology-simcity-2000/

I would imagine it just needs to be curvey in parts. It looks complex but once you've got the outside roughed out it's probably doable. I would recommend doing it as big as possible so that the curves look more natural. Also, maybe use image editing software like PS to measure it out and get an idea of the contours and finer details. That is what I do with all my builds to get them as accurate as possible, though usually they're done from orthgraphic images from all sides and you're only working with one lol! At least it is orthographic...

I spend 90% of my time in mc edit, I only use the game for fine detail work or to make 1/4 or 1/8th of something.

ive seen that darco build, but the shape looks odd when compared to the original model. I will scale it as big as I can but the complex curves still look like a nightmare. it will be ages before I get to it tho, next up will be the forest arco then the launch.

actually im thinking of building out a sim city 4 tile set as a long term project with some additions from sc2k like the arcos. so many projects too little time tho.
