This is one of my favorite arena's I've ever build. I made it to be a PVM arena but it can also be used as a PVP arena) Made mostly out of netherbrick and sandstone - when a player warps to this arena it will spawn above the arena itself (in that litte lobby in the center) - when everybody is ready to fight the one block in the middle will be removed and the players can drop down and prepair to fight the waves of mobs. The lobby above shuts down in case of someone gets scared and wants to go back. The arena is full with traps and obstacles that makes it difficult for the player to fight properly. In this arena we banned the commands /tp /back /sethome - last man standing gets a $ price and the loot of the other already dead players.
