Here are a few of the Roman fortresses I have been building over the past few weeks. All three of them are unique in their own way but retain some key features found in realistic ancient Roman forts: organized layout, subtle palette accents, consistent detailing, curved corners on the walls, and a gatehouse on each of the four sides. Each fort includes key buildings like barracks, storehouses, armories, forges, mess halls, officers' quarters, and stables. Even one of the forts has access to an aqueduct with above-ground cisterns!
