Hello All!

   This project features the creative spawn dragon and builds I have built for an American server titled: The Altitude. The images include the various angles of my gigantic dragon build which hovers over the void surrounding the floating islands of the creative spawn. For an up close look of the dragon you can visit The Altitude and going to the creative spawn with /warp creative. 
 
    This build roughly took me a few weeks, as I could only work on it for a few hours each day. There were some obstacles to overcome as I had never built such a large air structure before. Some of these obstacles included the serpentine body of the dragon as I wanted it to be as proportional as possible (i.e. the diamond shaped 'scales' along the body). Another challenge came within choosing the blocks used in the build; I wanted it to appear as 'real' as possible, and the outcome was successful. Iron blocks and stone, as well as stone slabs were used for the head and body of the dragon so as to give it a more polished, armored look. Hues of green wool, as well as yellow and black wool were used for the accoutrements on the head of the dragon as well as to give texture to the wings. The wings took me about two days to build as I had a rough time proportioning them to the size of the dragon. Texturing the wings came fairly easily as I'd already decided to use stained glass (mainly light and dark greens, yellow, and black), and then adding definition behind hte glass with the wool, to make the wings appear furled.

The head adaptation to the body was the hardest part of the build but I feel as though I was able to create a fairly good representation of a serpentine dragon similar to ones depicted in Japanese Fan Art.
