Welcome to, Shadow of the Ancients, my entry to the Head into the clouds contest

Story: Steve's balloon landed softly onto the solid ground above the clouds mist. He observed the land around him, mostly looking abandoned he made way fro the highest mountain top to look over the new land he was to call his home. As he climed the made his way up a cliff he noticed the oddest things, large tunnels and small ruins in the grasslands below him. His mind drew pictures of what creatures could have caused such destruction, but he had no idea what he was about to descover. As he reached the mountain top he looked over the land about him and quickly noticed three major things.
1: He was not alone, a small village, walled in with a beautiful pyramid at the middle took the majority of his attention.
2: The creatures that made the holes and ruins around him were easily from his position moving about the clouds and earth of this chunk of land in sync.
3: There were a number of obelisks standing on the cloud portion of the land giving power to the worm like creatures that swam in the dirt, similar to the power an ender dragon draws from obsidian obilisks.

Steve, without a second thought ran from the mountain top to the gate of what looked to be the small secured village. As he walked up, a guard quickly opened the gate and ran out shocked. The people that lived in the village had never seen another player before, especially like steve, it was completley a mystery how he could have gotten to their land. The guard escorted steve to the stone pyramid where a very rich figure stood at the top. The man was dressed in gold and diamond, he walked slowly down the pyramid steps and called out for the people to gather. The king looked steve in the eye and asked him where he was from and how he had gotten here. Steve replied with simple answer saying that he had been on a long journey for many many years now, and that he sailed up to the land on a balloon.
After many questions steve was escorted to a new house which was to be called his own. Everything seemed fine except for the number of skulls on stakes that stood as the town center. Steve, more tired than ever laid his head to rest with the thoughts of everything he had seen today, but he brushed it off lightly thinking that it was nothing like he had seen before, in all his travles. But little did he know, how intense things were about to get, for this would be his most dangerous journey yet......

Q&A:
So I decided to put up some Q&A's instead of write a terribly long story for this project, plus I will get to explain things in much more depth and tell you a little on how I built what I built!

1: What are the Worm Things and Why Them?
Well, when I first started this contest the biggest thing I wanted to get noticed for in this project was my originality, thus I took on a monster feel to the world and began to build 4 giant worm creatures, each with their own name and mini backstory, they are known as the Ancients (for which this project is named) They are demi-gods more less in my imagination and lifted the chunk of land into the sky.

This worm's name is: Nitas, he is known as the destroyer, with a transparent eye, the victim can see deep in his body, hellfire burns (This one is my fav)

This worm's name is: Mong, he is known as the rain-maker, mong shifts mostly around the clouds of the land and causes the water to splash onto the land giving a sort of rain effect the to floating island. (Keeping the snow off this worm was a pain...)

This worm's name is: Might'us, he is the "king-worm" and father of Nitas and Mong, this worm takes sacrifices from the tribal towns of the island (This worm was a pain to build)

This worm's name is: Sen'us, the mother of Nitas, & Mong, she is known to the people of the island as the peaceful worm and never has caused damage to the civilization. (I like this worm only for how it plows through the land but I don't know why I made it pink...)

2: So what is the cobble around the worm's eye?
Answer: That is what I imagined to be a sort of claw/bone, the worms that I wanted to make, I wanted to make without eyelids, they close and expand the bone/claw around their eye to cover it, almost like a shell.

3: Why Tribal?
Answer: Well, It's original and thats what I wana be known for, plus... it goes with the worm idea nicely....

4: Why is it not very filled up?
When I got the map the first thing I thought was "its a bit big..." but I worked with it, last contest I did alone was the caved in contest project, that map was much smaller and I filled it up, this map though was painful to work on, especially with the ideas I had, I couldn't do everything in the time I had so I did what I could, and I believe it worked out nicely!
