This one is for Black United Line!
This is the Siemens-Schuckert R.VIII, a bomber originally designed and build in Germany during WWI. Only 2 were made and only the first was completed. Ground trials began in 1919, so after WWI, but were halted because of gearbox failure which damaged the plane. Due to the treaty of Versailles, the first plane wasn't repaired and the second never completed. At the time of it's construction, it was the biggest airplane in the world.
I couldn't really find pictures or clear drawings of the interior, so I guessed a little bit. This plane should also be able to drop TNT.
The two things I kept thinking about while building this were:
1. This became airborne?
2. With a wingspan of 48 meters and an estimated speed of 125 km/h, how easy could it have been to shoot the bomber out of the sky?
I really enjoyed building this plane though, unfortunately I couldn't finish it very fast due to school.
