Your on a island that is at the max world height you have to survive there are plenty of ores, there is a challenge around every corner. In minecraft 1.7 and up it will snow everywhere. There are 2 nether islands a desert island, The stater island and there are two secret islands, only mod used to make this is spc. Also this is nothing like sky block. You have to travel to a different island for wood. :). Also play on hard or normal difficulty, Play with render distance on normal or far. Also rules are in "Rules in blue" book. Now you have to mine down :).
