"With the coming of spring, I am calm again." - Gustav Mahler
Spring has sprung over the Great Wilderness. Emerging from their burrows, rabbits scurry around as squirrels hastily climb their trees. The foxes chase their cubs as the gentle waves lap onto the beach. Though still cold, warmth is in the air, signalling the start of a long and warm Spring to come.
While I do not post too frequently on Planet Minecraft these days, I always love to contribute to the community events. The theme of 'Spring' challenged me to use terrain colors I haven't used before and I am very pleased with how they have turned out. By using light colors of lime and yellow shades I think I've used Spring colors well in this terrain. The use of ice in this build was also important to me. To make sure the map didn't appear too warm, I created a large pattern of ice in the bay and I am happy with how it turned out. I also used mushrooms instead of trees in this map. By using mushrooms, I created a landscape full of color and vibrancy that trees would not have quite achieved. Overall, I am very happy with this map and I hope you all enjoy it.
