This is my own design of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald A.K.A. "Pride of the American Side". This ship was an iron ore freighter that steamed on Lake Superior in the 1960s and early 70s. Since she was one of the biggest freighters ever used on the Great Lakes, and having a 729 foot long hull, she was given the nickname "Titanic of the Great Lakes". She was built in 1958 and crashed in 1975 when she was taken over by a storm. She carried 26,000 tons of iron ore with a full load. When she sank on November 10th, 1975, she was carrying a full load over her DWT capacity and the weight of the cargo was possibly one reason she went under. It is still a mystery how the Edmund Fitzgerald really sank and there are many theories about how she did. Some searchers say her hull split in half like the Daniel J. Morrel. Others say a big rogue wave collapsed on her and took her underwater. And possibly there could of been problems with design flaws and loose cargo hatches. But even though we don't know how she really sank, the "Mighty Fitz" and the crew of 29 men who died with her will never be forgotten. Thankyou for viewing! I hope you enjoy this project!
SCHEMATIC DIMENSIONS: (in blocks)
L: 320
W: 31
H: 45
*MUST USE IN UPDATE 1.8 OR HIGHER!
NOTE* A CUSTOM RESOURCE PACK WAS USED IN THE MAKING OF THIS PROJECT. THINGS MAY LOOK ODD!
DISCLAIMER NOTE* FOR ALL OLDER MC-EDIT VERSIONS WHEN PUTTING THE SCHEMATIC INTO YOUR WORLD, BE SURE TO FACE THE SHIP NORTH OR SOUTH, OTHER WISE MC-EDIT WILL FACE THE FENCE GATES, TRAPDOORS, AND OTHER ENTITY UUIDs IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!
I'm very sorry, but it would of been impossible for me to add the accurate interior in such limited spaces, so there is no interior unfortunately. However, I have uploaded four blueprints in the photo gallery of this project which include the forward and aft deck layouts for anyone who wants to do the interior themselves. Thank you for understanding.
