For my first submission, in commemoration of the release of Rogue One, a Star Wars Story, i have decided to build the second Death Star, based on both A New Hope and Return of the Jedi, but mainly on the latter. This recreation incorporates interior elements from both of the iconic battle stations, and has diameter of 161 blocks, giving it a rough scale of 1:1000.

Scale varies throughout interior and exterior, with some elements inside being to scale and others being an approximation, due to the limited space provided by a 1:1000 scale replica.

When finished, the station should incorporate almost all interior features seen in both films, along with some extracted from video games, comics or books. The facilities display various redstone features, such as blast doors, ray shield doors (both piston-driven) and an illuminated ignition sequence for the superlaser, along with sound effects.

When finished I might upload the map for download, but currently the project is housed in the BlockBox server (ip: server.blockbox.us) the world of Superflat, at coordinates -211/165/-1675.
