I've built a fully functional (except for sailing and diving) submarine.
I used several mods to make it work. Here is a list:

The submarine is able to automatically shoot incoming objects and mobs. For higher protection, you can use the EMP to fend off incoming missiles. (The radar station is bugged, so the EMP is only usable manually) You can also shoot manually at targets with the railguns. Also, 12 Intercontinental missiles are ready to launch, for long distances. Fully controlable at the main-terminal of the submarine.
